Parkwood UMC

We are a church in a south Durham neighborhood, ecumenically-minded and rooted in the Wesleyan tradition. At Parkwood, we embody the directive, “open minds, open hearts, open doors,” so that anyone and everyone feel welcome here, no matter your sexual orientation, race, gender, what you’ve done in the past… no matter what. Parkwood UMC has recently joined the Reconciling Ministries Network, which is a network of churches that has committed to working for inclusiveness and justice for our LGBTQ+ siblings.
