Trinity UMC

We are a historic congregation in Downtown Durham that has been serving the vulnerable, worshiping God in a beautifully inspiring space, and building a diverse community for over 200 years. We are a part of Durham's dynamic legacy, and we plan to be a part of its bright future. 

We believe that all persons are made in the image of God and that all persons are of sacred worth.  We believe that God is diversity, and that by the power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ, God calls us to love one another.  We believe in living out that love through welcoming all persons into the fellowship of Christ's body here at Trinity. 

We have differences in socioeconomic status, skin color, gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, physical health, mental health, gifts and abilities, education, and in many other ways. We know that all of these differences bring richness to the Body of Christ.  We give thanks for this richness, and we choose love and welcome for all.
